Virgin Coconut Oil
What Is Virgin Coconut Oil?
Virgin Coconut Oil (VCO) is the purest type of coconut oil because producers extract it from fresh coconut meat without using high heat or chemical solvents. As a result, VCO keeps its natural aroma, flavor, and nutrients. Through a simple cold-pressed process, the oil delivers high levels of medium-chain fatty acids, especially lauric acid, which support health and skin care.
Today, many consumers choose VCO as a “superfood” and a useful household product. For example, you can take it directly, use it for light cooking, or apply it to your skin or hair. In addition, because its production does not involve harsh chemicals, VCO keeps a bright, mild coconut scent and a clean, pale-gold color.
How We Produce Virgin Coconut Oil
Our partner farmers harvest mature coconuts and prepare them soon after picking. First, they remove the husk, crack the shell, and grate the fresh coconut meat. Next, they press the grated meat to release fresh coconut milk. After that, the milk naturally ferments or goes through a cold-pressed centrifugal process. Meanwhile, we keep the temperature below 40 °C so the oil separates without heat damage.
Once the virgin oil rises to the top, our team filters it gently and sends it to Realsa Natural’s facility for quality checks. At the warehouse, we review its clarity, aroma, and purity. Importantly, we never use chemical solvents or additives. As a result, you receive clean, nutrient-rich Virgin Coconut Oil crafted with care from farm to bottle.
Common Misconception about VCO
Many people assume that Virgin Coconut Oil (VCO) is the same as regular coconut oil. However, the two products differ widely in both quality and processing. Typically, regular coconut oil undergoes refining, bleaching, and deodorizing—processes that strip away its natural aroma and nutrients. In contrast, VCO is extracted from fresh coconut meat and retains its antioxidants, scent, and health benefits.
Unfortunately, some brands still use heat or chemical solvents while labeling their products as “VCO.” At Realsa Natural, we consciously avoid these methods. Instead, we use low-temperature processing below 40 °C and exclude all chemicals to preserve purity and nutritional integrity.
Moreover, another common misconception is that VCO is only suitable for cooking. In fact, it offers a wide range of uses—you can enjoy it as a dietary supplement, a skin moisturizer, a hair treatment, or even a natural remedy.
Nutrition & Uses of Virgin Coconut Oil
Our Virgin Coconut Oil is 100% cold-pressed, unrefined, and naturally rich in medium-chain triglycerides (MCTs)—especially lauric acid, which helps support immune function and metabolism. Thanks to its light texture and fresh coconut aroma, VCO works well for both internal and external use. Moreover, it stays stable under medium heat, making it ideal for sautéing, baking, or blending into smoothies.
Beyond cooking, it also nourishes skin and hair. For instance, you can use it as a natural makeup remover, for oil pulling, or as a base for cosmetic formulations. In addition, its mild scent and clean profile make it easy to include in daily routines—whether for wellness, beauty, or culinary purposes.
